Well, it's 6:30 in the morning on Monday and I'm leaving for Montana on Thursday. I have 3 days to get my ducks in a row so I can head out for this new adventure in my life. I have my Equine vet coming over this morning to do the coggins test on my mare I'll be bringing. I also have to get a health certificate so I can bring her across state lines. As far as my mare, her name is Sierra and she's a 6 year old Palimino with the best attitude I've ever seen in a horse. We'll be staying at a place in Idaho Thursday night that boards horses and I can even have a room with breakfast the next day. I'm also bringing my little buddy Nitro aka "Stinky"... He's a Brussels Griffon Dog and my absolute best friend. He doesn't have much of a coat since he's the type that doesn't shed, so I'll be buying him some Montana clothes and booties so he can run around in the snow..... Should be fun watching him wear booties on his feet for the first time.. LOL...
This whole thing was my husband's idea, but I think he was suprised when I took the ball and ran with it. He says it's so I can see about handling a winter in Montana. If I can't then the house we have up there will go for sale since we've owned it for 2 years and we won't have capitol gains taxes on it. But, I feel that the bigger reason is because we need a break, we are together ALL the time since we own a home based business and have been getting on each other's nerves for some time now. We have been drifting apart steadily for some time and hopefully this seperation will heal our marriage. My feeling is that it will either make us or break us.... we'll just have to see. I've got lots to do today so I better get going. I have a cow and goat I need to find a winter home for and my other horses I have to get them all set so my husband can take care of them without too much trouble. I'll post again soon....
